Light simulation

Light simulation

Light is one of the most important design elements in architecture and light quality demonstrably has a big influence on well-being and productiveness. Our light simulations (3ds max design from Autodesk) illustrate not only the technology but also the aesthetics of your design. You will receive a scientific analysis in a clear implementation: the photo-realistic representation of daylight and shadow casting facilitates the assessment of the design for you.

Daylight is optimally suited for illuminating workplaces. Yet, even classrooms and commercial premises can benefit from daylight if it illuminates the room evenly and glare-free. The positive effects of daylight on human health and well-being are varied. Nevertheless, the varying offer and the big dynamics of daylight require a highly specialized approach to the subject. Here, we support you with our light simulations, with which we can prove and optimise the sufficient brightness of rooms, however, also the effect of direct and diffuse daylight. Our light simulation with 3ds max design also allows a first idea of the impression of the room under natural lighting conditions. The computational method is physically very accurate, as studies of the NRC-IRC demonstrate. (Christoph Reinhard: NRC-IRC report B3241.1).

Results of our light simulation

  • Computation of the daylight quotient
  • Improvement of the visual comfort
  • Testing of daylighting concepts
  • Evaluation of energy conservation through daylight use
  • Visualisation of the room impression
  • Avoidance of glare Optimisation of a daylight control
